Brenda Root, Ph.D., is the owner of and primary instructor with Creative Movement Solutions, LLC. She is a licensed Educational Kinesiology instructor and consultant with over 20 years experience in teaching and 800+ hours of Educational Kinesiology training. Additionally, she is trained in RMT (Rhythmic Movement Training), Applied Kinesiology, and the Handle Method.
"With Educational Kinesiology, people have the tools to use movement more effectively and efficiently than ever before," says Brenda. "These tools change lives. I've seen children and adults express more joy, experience more fun, and meet challenges more easily with the help of Edu-K."
Brenda's credentials include extensive experience teaching, researching, presenting and consulting to help others maximize their performance and optimize their potential. She has developed and presented programs in family communication, conflict resolution, stress management, and personal empowerment, working with diverse groups including at-risk teen and adult populations.
"Conflict resolution, stress management, inter-personal communication, and personal empowerment all require self-management skills," she continues. "I have taught many educators, parents and children to use Edu-K to easily manage their attitudes and behavior in classrooms and at home."
Brenda brings years of experience in the classroom to her courses. She is so enthusiastic about Brain Gym because repeatedly she sees participants experience greater success in meeting their individual challenges. Participants - and those they work with - regularly are excited about the many positive, noticeable changes that come with integrating intentional movement into their lives.
“Brenda is a wonderful blend of knowledge, compassion, creativity and experience.” – S. G.
She received her B.S. in education from James Madison University, her M.S. in sociology from University of Illinois, and her Ph.D. in sociology from Pennsylvania State University.
“PACE will be hugely beneficial with my students. I like the flexibility to choose a Brain Gym [movement] to do with my students. I can’t wait to talk to them about ‘noticing’ – such an important skill!” – C. M.
